Community engagement is the process of working together and collaborating with diverse groups of people affiliated by geographic proximity, special interest, or similar situations to address issues affecting the well-being and stability of the community.
Community engagement is a vital part of ensuring that each community member has access to valued ammeneties and resources that provide valued activities and services, and ensures that those same community members have the equal opportunity to participate meaningfully.
Our job, as a community development organization is to be a resource in the community facilitating projects and discussions. We know from experience that engagement represents a mosaic of activities and people.
