Emergency Housing Vouchers

Through the Battle Creek Housing Commission, Neighborhoods Inc. has the ability to provide emergency housing assistance through section 8 vouchers to individuals and families who:

- Are homeless or at risk of being homeless

- Fleeing, or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, or

- Were recently homeless or have a high risk of housing instability.

This funding is provided by the American Rescue Plan Act.

Through the Emergency Housing Vouchers program provided by the Battle Creek Housing Commission, NIBC has experienced a great interest and demand for housing resources. Unfortunately, there are more individuals who need help out of threatening housing situations than there is safe, available, and affordable housing in Battle Creek.
