Neighborhoods Inc. of Battle Creek (NIBC) Acquires the Calhoun County Housing Assessment Resource Agency (HARA)
NIBC is committed to continue to expand our work with programming designed to assist low to moderate income residents of Battle Creek.
BATTLE CREEK, MI – Neighborhoods Inc. of Battle Creek (NIBC) is pleased to announce it has acquired the Calhoun County Housing Assessment Resource Agency (HARA) which will help support NIBC’s mission to promote stable, healthy homes and neighborhoods by providing financial services focused on rapid rehousing and homelessness prevention. The Calhoun County HARA will be known as the Calhoun County Housing Services located at NIBC.
“Having the HARA under the NIBC umbrella continues to enhance our services and resources offered to the Calhoun county community,” said Kristyn Denison, NIBC Senior Managing Director. “We are honored to have the opportunity to expand our organization.”
Several different grant opportunities exist for individuals or families in need of assistance. The Emergency Solutions Grant assists those in a current eviction status or those who are currently homeless trying to find other housing opportunities. Another program we offer is the Housing Choice Voucher which is offered to Calhoun County residents who qualify for subsidized rental assistance. This program provides individuals or families decent safe housing of their choice.
Neighborhoods Inc. of Battle Creek has served our community with pride since 1981, working to ensure all families can live in safe, stable homes and neighborhoods in Battle Creek.
NIBC will continue to build upon our current services to help stabilize Battle Creek neighborhoods and improve residents’ quality of life – one home at a time.
